Chapter History

Mu Theta Zeta Chapter was charted in Darmstadt, Germany July 1, 1983, by five PHENOMENAL women by the names of Meriel Waker, Valerie Griffin, Irma Watson, Amelia Reid, and Patricia Bates. These finer women were teachers, counselors, and servicewomen that made a dream into a reality by creating the first and only graduate chapter in Germany.

This chapter has and always will be dedicated to maintaining Zeta Phi Beta Sorority’s purpose of fostering the ideals of Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love, and Finer Womanhood for 30 years and many more! Mu Theta Zeta has expanded throughout Germany, Belgium, Southern Italy, and Northern Italy.

As Mu Theta Zeta within the Atlantic Region we serve the community, continue to create a strong bond with our sisters, and support other entities by partnering with various organizations within the Kaiserslautern Military Community, fellowshipping within the sorority, and attending and financially supporting events for other organizations because we are a community-conscious action-oriented organization committed to our principles of service and sisterhood.

Continuously strive to be a thriving organization offering impactful and consistent service to
our communities.
